Ø+ضرت لال Ø´Ûباز قلندر رØ+Ù…Ûƒ Ø§Ù„Ù„Û ØªØ¹Ø§Ù„ÛŒÙ° Ø¹Ù„ÛŒÛ (1177Ø¡ تا 1274Ø¡) جن کا اصل نام سید عثمان مروندی تھا، سندھ میں مدÙون ایک مشÛور صوÙÛŒ بزرگ تھے۔ ان کا مزار سندھ Ú©Û’ علاقے سیÛون شری٠میں ÛÛ’Û” ÙˆÛ Ø§ÛŒÚ© مشÛور صوÙÛŒ بزرگ، شاعر، ÙلسÙÛŒ اور قلندر تھے۔ ان کا تعلق صوÙÛŒ سلسلۂ سÛØ±ÙˆØ±Ø¯ÛŒÛ Ø³Û’ تھا۔ ان کا Ø²Ù…Ø§Ù†Û Ø§ÙˆÙ„ÛŒØ§Ø¦Û’ کرام کا Ø²Ù…Ø§Ù†Û Ù…Ø´Ûور ÛÛ’Û” مشÛور بزرگ شیخ بÛاؤ الدین زکریا ملتانی، شیخ Ùرید الدین گنج شکر، شمس تبریزی، جلال الدین رومی اور سید جلال الدین سرخ بخاری ان Ú©Û’ قریباً ÛÙ… عصر تھے۔

آپ 1177Ø¡ مطابق 573Ú¾ میں مروند Ú©Û’ مقام پر پیدا Ûوئے۔ آپ کا Ø³Ù„Ø³Ù„Û Ù†Ø³Ø¨ Ú¯ÛŒØ§Ø±Û ÙˆØ§Ø³Ø·ÙˆÚº سے Ø+ضرت امام جعÙر صادق رضی Ø§Ù„Ù„Û ØªØ¹Ø§Ù„ÛŒÙ° Ø¹Ù†Û Ø³Û’ ملتا ÛÛ’Û” آپ مروند (Ù…ÙˆØ¬ÙˆØ¯Û Ø§Ùغانستان) Ú©Û’ ایک درویش سید ابراÛیم کبیر الدین رØ+Ù…Ûƒ Ø§Ù„Ù„Û ØªØ¹Ø§Ù„ÛŒÙ° Ø¹Ù„ÛŒÛ Ú©Û’ بیٹے تھے۔ ان Ú©Û’ اجداد Ù†Û’ عراق سے مشÛد المقدس (ایران) Ûجرت Ú©ÛŒ جÛاں Ú©ÛŒ تعلیم مشÛور تھی۔ بعد ازاں مروند Ú©Ùˆ Ûجرت کی۔ آپ Ú©Ùˆ اس دور میں غزنوی اور غوری سلطنتوں کا مشاÛØ¯Û Ú©Ø±Ù†Û’ کا موقع ملا اور آپ Ù†Û’ اسلامی دنیا Ú©Û’ لا تعداد سÙر کیے جس Ú©ÛŒ ÙˆØ¬Û Ø³Û’ آپ Ù†Û’ Ùارسی، عربی، ترکی، سندھی اور سنسکرت میں Ù…Ûارت Ø+اصل کر لی۔ آپ روØ+انیت Ú©Û’ اعلیٰ Ø¯Ø±Ø¬Û Ù¾Ø± Ùائز تھے اور مسلمانوں Ú©Û’ Ø¹Ù„Ø§ÙˆÛ Ø§ÛÙ„Ù Ûنود میں بھی بڑی عزت تھی۔ آپ سرخ لباس Ù¾Ûنتے تھے جس Ú©ÛŒ ÙˆØ¬Û Ø³Û’ انÛیں لال Ú©Ûا جاتا ÛÛ’Û” اس Ú©Û’ Ø¹Ù„Ø§ÙˆÛ Ø§Ù†Ûیں جھولے لال بھی Ú©Ûا جاتا تھا۔

Birth:
Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar Rehmatullah Alaih was born late in the twelfth century in 1177 in Marwand (Iran), now Afghanistan, to a noble Makhdum, Syed Ibrahim Kabir-ud-Din Mujab Rehmatullah Alaih, and his mother was a high-ranking princess. He was born in the month of Sha’aban, 8th month in Islamic calendar.
Education:
“He showed from his infancy, signs of a deep spiritual nature. It is said that even when very young he had developed occult powers. He knew Quran by heart at the age of seven, and at twenty he was initiated into the Qalandar order.â€
At first Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar Rehmatullah Alaih was taught by his mother, and then he went on to Madina and spent some time there. From Madina he went on to Karbala (Iraq) where he used to look after the Holy Shrine of the King of Martyrs Imam-e-Hussain Radi Allahu Anhu
Reason for leaving Karbala and Arrival in Sindh:
One day Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar Rehmatullah Alaih saw the King of Martyrs Imam-e-Hussain Radi Allahu Anhu, Imam-e-Hussain Radi Allahu Anhu ordered Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar Rehmatullah Alaih to go to Hindustan (Indo-Pak Subcontinent).
After receiving orders Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar Rehmatullah Alaih left for Indo-Pak subcontinent. He went to Mashad, stayed there for a short time then went on to Indo-Pak Subcontinent. It is said that he entered through Makran and went on to Karachi. Then went on and stayed at the mausoleum of Syed Sadr-ud-din, Sukher (Sindh) Rehmatullah Alaih and from there went on to stay with Surkh Syed Jalal-ud-din Bukhari Rehmatullah Alaih of Uch sharif – Bahawalpur (Punjab) [1196-1294].
While in Sehwan:
When he first arrived he stayed out of the city according to some sayings it is call Lal Bagh (Red Garden) which is towards south-eastern side. Inside the city of Sehwan, Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar Rehmatullah Alaih had two disciples, Boodla Bahaar and Sachal Sarmast. It is said that Boodla Bahaar had a very long beard with which he used to clean up the place of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar.
At the time of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s arrival at Sehwan, Sehwan was centre of evilness. Boodla Bahaar and Sachal Sarmast were appointed by Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar Rehmatullah Alaih to preach inside the city and their duty was to go stand and every nook and corner and say “Ali Haqâ€.
Saints of Sindh, including Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai, Makhdoom Bilawal and Sachal Sarmast were all followers of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar Rehmatullah Alaih.
Hazrat Lal Shahbaz's Rehmatullah Alaih dedication to the knowledge about various religious disciplines, enabled him to become a profound scholar, eventually. He became fluent in many languages, including, Pashto, Persian, Turkish, Arabic, Sindhi and Sanskrit. Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar Rehmatullah Alaih lived a celibate life and died in the year 1274 at the age of 97 (18th Shaban).
The shrine around his tomb was built in 1356 and decorated with Sindhi 'kashi-tiles', mirror work and a gold-plated door which were donated by the late Shah of Iran, Reza Shah Pahlavi and installed by the late Prime Minister of Pakistan, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar Rehmatullah Alaih annual Urs (death anniversary celebration) is held on the 18 Sha'aban. Thousands of pilgrims visit his shrine in Sehwan every year, at the occasion of his Urs.
